It is possible to have a satisfying relationship with food.
Food does not have to be a source of guilt in your life anymore.
Trust me when I say that you are not alone in your struggle.
With all the conflicting messaging around nutrition, so many people are left feeling exhausted and stressed in search for the “perfect diet”.
As a non-diet registered dietitian, it is my goal to help you ditch the diets for good. I want to give you the tools so you feel empowered to feed yourself in a way that is sustainable and nourishing to your mind and body.
If you are ready to heal your relationship with food & ready to trust your body, let’s work together.
My Philosophy
My philosophy is all foods fit. Meaning there is not a single food that I feel you would have to exclude in order to have a healthy relationship with food. Guilt is not meant to be a side dish that comes with every meal. Nutrition therapy is so much more than what is on your plate. The mindset you have about food is just as important as the foods you put in your body. I want to empower you to find freedom with food again. I strive to approach our work together with curiosity and compassion because our relationship with food can be incredibly complex.
“I loved working with Barissa. She met me where I was on my journey. She helped to push me but did so to where I felt safe to challenge my fears, my beliefs, my routines...I loved the access to her via video and she was always fast to respond to emails and quick to schedule me when I needed a session. Highly recommend working with her!”

Did you know?
Multiple studies show that more than 2/3 of both men and women are dissatisfied with their bodies?
This can absolutely have an impact on your eating habits and overall well-being. You were not born hating your body and anything that can be learned, can be unlearned.
